Rotator Cuff Strain — Sarasota, FL — Meilus Precision Therapy
Rotator Cuff Strain can involve one or more of the four Rotator Cuff Muscles. Identifying which cuff muscles are involved is important to a fast recovery. Returning the Scapula and the Glenohumeral joint to their natural positions is key to getting the Rotator Cuff back to optimal function. Typically the Scapula is pulled away from the spine, creating the "winging" look. When the Scapula is pulled forward the Glenohumeral joint will be forward of its normal orientation and put excessive stress on the posterior cuff muscles. Lengthening the Seratus Anterior, Pec minor and Subscapularis will allow the Scapula to return to its normal position and decrease the workload of the posterior cuff.
